Friday January 29th: 8:30pm-1am

ABNEY PARK
Abney Park comes from an era that never was, but one that we wish had been. An era where airships waged war in the skies, and corsets and cummerbunds were proper adventuring attire. They’Äôve picked up their bad musical habits, scoundrelous musicians, and anachronistically hybridized instruments from dozens of locations and eras that they have visited in their travels and thrown them into one riotous dervish of a performance. Expect clockwork guitars, belly dancers, flintlock bassists, middleastern percussion, violent violin, and Tesla powered keyboards blazing in a post- apocalyptic, swashbuckling, Steampunk musical mayhem.

BEATS ANTIQUE WITH ZOE JAKES
Faerieworlds is proud to announce the return appearance of Beats Antique featuring Zoe Jakes, David Satori and Sidecar Tommy. Beats Antique forges a curious alliance between middle eastern traditions and potent west coast circus, underground hip hop, breakbeat brass band, downtempo, glitch and dubstep.

A proud member of The Indigo with Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes is one of the premiere performers of bellydance in the world whose unique take on Tribal bellydance takes influence from Art Nouveau, tango, Breakdance, and Indian classical dance.

Zoe has been touring with Bellydance Superstars since the fall of 2005 and recently finished filming her debut instructional DVD, to be released in the fall. Don't miss what is sure to be an outstanding performance by Zoe and Beats Antique at the historic setting of the McDonald Theatre!
